Can a document be locked until a received signature is collected, then the document will open for review?

I want to send out a document that needs to have a correct received on date and signature, would it be possible in any way to have the recipient have to sign that portion of the document before the rest of it opens for viewing (maybe, if possible, to add an alert “this is only a received confirmation signature. ”

Thank you for reaching out here, we want to welcome you to the Docusign Community, I appreciate you bringing your question to this Community. I apologize for any inconvenience this might cause you, we are committed to providing you with the best service possible. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, I understand you want to know if it is possible to put an envelope on hold for a recipient

The closest option would be to Add a Delay Between Recipients and use delayed routing to add a delay between envelope recipients. Click + ADD DELAY to add a delay after the first recipient. Enter the desired delay period, either a number of days and hours or a specific date and time. Finish preparing your envelope and send it. You can review the envelope details to see the status and hold schedule.
